ITR filing date for FY20 extended to November 30

The Income Tax (I-T) department on Saturday notified that the last date for filing Income Tax returns (ITRs) for the financial year (FY) 2019-20 (assessment year 2020-21) has been extended till Nov 30, 2020, in view of the challenges faced by the taxpayers due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The CBDT had last week extended the timeline for filing ITR to July 31.
