The virality has had its pitfalls, with many criticising the failure of Bytedance, parent company of TikTok, to curb vulgarity and even grooming of unsuspecting children dancing to sexualised songs gain a lot of likes, thus encouraging them to go further. But some argue that instead of a blanket ban India should enact laws to set a specific framework to deal with such cases.
