On the BSE index, Tata Steel, Vendata, ONGC, NTPC, Yes Bank, Infosys, SBI and Sun Pharma were among the major gainers with their stocks rising as much as 4.78 per cent. Of the 30 Sensex constituents, 25 closed with gains while just 5 closed with losses.
